There is no "mold" for what a successful patroller looks like, but there are common traits we all share. We are dedicated, hard-working, and fun-loving folks that share a love of skiing and riding, and a desire to help others. We're the first on the slopes in the morning and last off at night - rain or shine. We prepare the mountain in the morning, assist our guests throughout the day, and put the mountain to bed at night. We are proud of our Club and proud to be part of a patrol with such high standards of excellence.

Because ski patrolling can be demanding work, applicants must be physically able and fundamentally sound skiers or snowboarders. A candidate will participate in approximately 120 hours of medical training and 40 hours of ski and toboggan training during their candidate year. Medical training typically runs from late August to December, and culminates with both a written exam and a hands-on skills assessment. A returning patroller can expect approximately 90 hours of on-snow time during the season and approximately 20 hours of training in the off-season. While we strive to match the needs of our schedule with those of our members, some flexibility is expected with respect to working "work day" shifts.
